About Advisory Services
Advisory Services draws on the expertise of the Mobi Health Portal and a network of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health researchers. We provide advisory, evaluation, and training services to government, health services, universities, and philanthropic organisations seeking to work ethically and effectively with First Nations communities.
All consulting work is guided by community control principles, Indigenous Data Sovereignty, and cultural safety — ensuring that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives lead every engagement.

- Research design and ethics — advisory on community-controlled research methodologies, ethics applications, and Indigenous Data Sovereignty frameworks.
- Program evaluation — culturally appropriate evaluation of health programs, policies, and interventions, with findings returned to communities.
- Policy advisory — briefings, submissions, and strategic advice on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health policy, including climate and health, cultural determinants, and workforce development.
- Training and workshops — tailored workshops on community-controlled research, ethical practice, knowledge translation, and cultural safety for health professionals and researchers.

Our approach
We do not consult on communities — we consult with communities. Every engagement begins with community consent and prioritises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership. Our team includes experienced First Nations researchers, evaluators, and policy specialists who bring deep knowledge of ACCHO contexts and community health priorities.
